My answer to Why should we soften our policy towards terrorist when they do not negotiate?

Answer by Desmond Last:

We should never soften our Policy. No matter what the reason for the cause of a terrorist it does not give them the right to force it upon others.

The fact they cannot or do not want to use the democratic process that exists to put people in Government is their problem not ours.

They should focus on changing their system with a popular movement instead of attempting to force everybody to agree with them.

If they are seeking to oppose an authoritarian Government then that Government should only be opposed with Popular Support and recognition by the International Community.

If a Government is corrupt then motivate the People to change it but do not kill my people to force a change.

The only time we should have a dialogue is when they first agree to stop suicide bombings of innocent civilians.

However we now have the problem that ‘lone wolf’ and ‘wolf pack’ suicide bombers are reacting to their emotions and situations in their own Countries and not to direct command by ISIS or Al Qaeada.

If we are not careful we will find that we are fighting an ‘enemy within’ that will only grow as we put more of them under control and arrest unless we ensure we are applying the law equally to all.

The U.K is very much at that stage because Prime Minister Theresa May will not enforce the law equally to all.

I am afraid that the U.K is now entering a new phase of terrorism not seen in any other Western Nation and its Government and Security Services are totally unable to see this ‘new perspectives’ because of their closed minds.

Unfortunately it will be the people of the U.K who will bear the consequences of their ineptitude.

Why should we soften our policy towards terrorist when they do not negotiate?
