I am still searching for the words that can redefine ‘incompetence’ and ‘intellectually challenged’.

Did Theresa May and her Cabinet cancel their summer holidays in what is one of the most important years in U.K History? No.

Where are our new alliances and post Brexit Unions?

Where is our new Union of ex-E.U European States? Nowhere.

Where is our new RD strategy so that we can direct funding to non-E.U markets? Nowhere.

Where is any new Economic Strategy? Nowhere

Where is our new Agricultural Policy to ensure we increase the productivity of our agricultural system and grow crops that compete with non E.U produce? Nowhere.

Where is our new Defense Policy to take into account the new U.S/France alliance? Nowhere.

Where is our new Naval Strategy to ensure our Type 45 Destroyers who are required to escort our new aircraft carrier can still protect the U.K against IBCM with the Viper/PRIMS System – as they will now be required to protect the HMS Elizabeth?

Where is our new anti-terrorism Strategy and Public warning to be ready for chemical attacks? Nowhere.

Where is our new Acid and Chemical product and sales monitoring and flag system? Nowhere

Where are the Military to secure our borders to ensure returning ISIS do not co-operate with criminal groups in the U.K to use chemical weapons? Nowhere.

Where are the arrests of out of control U.K Cyber Criminals? Nowhere

Where is the reduction of child abuse? Nowhere

Where is the reduction in crime? Nowhere

Where is the National Plan for this winter NHS’s crisis? Nowhere

I could go on and on and on. Never in the history of the U.K has there ever been such a totally inadequate Government in charge of the U.K

Wake up U.K Your Government is absolutely hopeless. You do not have a Government you have a ‘laughing stock’ and with the whole world watching.

Well done Theresa May & Vodafone the U.K has become too difficult to do business in and with. U.K Cyber Hacking is out of control.

truth

This is my daily hack. The Broadband Speed is so slow it takes 3 x as long to update websites and in particular my site on WordPress.

231017

Is there anybody who works for Vodafone that wants to keep their Job? If Vodafone do not stop U.K Cyber hackers from slowing down their BroadBand that is what will happen. Vodafone will lose customers and their employees will lost their jobs.  There are plenty of other BroadBand Companies – outside of the U.K and in the E.U.

Theresa May does nothing about cyber crime in the U.K and Vodafone do little to investigate it. The E.U 27 welcome new Business Investment which will not invest in the U.K – the U.K has become too difficult to do business in and with..

Why wouldn’t Jeremy Corbyn form any electoral pacts to oust the Tories in seats where non-labour or non-conservative candidates could’ve won?

truth

This is my answer to this Question on Quora

Unlike the Conservatives and the Lib Dems Jeremy Corbyn has a vision, a plan and a set of Policies for the People of the United Kingdom.

Jeremy Corbyn knows what he wants for the People of the United Kingdom and he will not compromise his Principles.

His vision for the United Kingdom is one which involves all Peoples in a regeneration of a Society that cares for those who are unable to care for themselves.

For too long the United Kingdom has been run as a human balance sheet. Instead of providing Policies that provide a dynamic Economy the U.K has had to endure a very narrow Economic Strategy that cuts spending rather than creates efficiencies and new methods of investment. Cutting Costs is not an efficiency. It often retains systems that were and are inefficient and become more so when starved of optimum resources.

Anybody can cut costs by reducing services and spending on much needed social infrastructure. We do not need a Government for that.

What we need is new ideas. However, Theresa May and her Cabinet are spectacular in their ability to ignore new thinking – they have made it into a Olympic Sport for which they have the Gold.

I do not support all of Corbyn’s economic ideas but what I do support is an end to the thinking that it is the people who must suffer the failure of economic policy and not the Government.

The Conservatives have torn this country apart. Brexit is a nightmare made by the Conservatives. Their failure to put in place an Economic Plan for Post-Brexit is a testimony to their inability to see outside the Ivory Tower of a Party who to put it bluntly ‘Do not have a Clue’.

Jeremy Corbyn will not water down his Vision for the U.K by forming electoral pacts as that will mean he has to accept a Vision that he and his Party do not want.

What this Country needs today and not tomorrow is a General Election with a result that places Jeremy Corbyn in Number 10 Downing Street.

What are the most significant pros & cons of globalization?

This is my answer to this Question on Quora.

At its best globalization should be an amalgamation of comparative advantage. Yet it has become the reduction of the human value.

Globalization has been led by profit and greed rather than by trading value and exchanging advantages in manufacturing and the supply of resources.

In effect our Governments have handed over economic theory to the law of the Jungle – they have walked away from their own responsibilities to citizens and allowed Global Organisations to become third party Governments.

Note: Third Party Government – this sees persons not elected by the People making decisions which will affect their economic futures – such as the World Economic Forum, the IMF and in some respects for those Countries without direct representation – the G20.

Certain Governments and in particular the U.K Government went so far as to hand over their whole economy to International Organisations and Companies and as a result have allowed the U.K to become the doormat of the developed World.

The U.K Government’s compounded their lack of Economic Control by handing over their Economic Sovereignty to the E.U and by doing so took a backseat to the control of the direction of their Economy.

The E.U did not ask for control the U.K Government gave it to them.

The U.K Foreign Office must hold much of the blame for their out-dated historic view of the U.K’s position in the World which has desolated the U.K’s Economy – that and a lack of any new Economy thinking by the U.K Government and Bank of England.

Mark Carney the current Bank of England Chairman is a classic example of a Financial Leader who is unable to produce new thinking and direction. He has failed to combat the Global Effect of Capital making its own policy independent of Government – Globalisation. Carney does not lead he follows and in part is responsible for the debacle that has become Brexit.

Hence the U.K no longer has its own manufacturing base and its R&D is invested in mainly foreign owned companies or emerging companies who are then bought by foreign companies.

Using the U.K as an example Globalisation has produced below economic expectation wages, an unnecessary movement of workers, a strain on Infrastructure , a clash of Cultures and a foreign concentration of Capital as well as third Party Government.

Who is running the U.K? Not the Government. They now have no control over the direction of the Economy. Global Financial Interests run the U.K Economy. The result; no hospital bed for your mother, not enough teaching time for your children, no Police for your house burglary, no new Tanks for the U.K Army.

Brexit will only increase the U.K’s exposure to Globalization. In effect the U.K will become the Developed World’s first Third World Country.

What are the pros? There are none. Until Governments regain control of their Economies then capital will go wherever the least expensive cost of multiplying it is located. There is no ‘level playing field’. Ask Australia. It no longer has a car manufacturing industry.

That is why President Trump wants to regain control of America Economy through the direction of its manufacturing base.

Globalisation can be a power for good but only if it is controlled and directed.

Yes it does provide jobs to developing countries but at what cost and to whose tax department?

We cannot continue to allow large global displacements of the economic power of the people and Governments to corporations who have only their bottom line as the motive for their existence.

If the World is to evolve economic equilibrium we must ensure that Global Economic Organisations and Companies are given the opportunity to align themselves with Nation State Policy and not ‘shareholder bonus’ and that  includes Citizen Representation of Global Economic Movements and Organisations.

The bottom line of Globalisation is that ‘There is no Democracy at the International Level’.

Is it realistic for Dyson, the vacuum company, to be building its own electric cars?

My answer to this question on Quora. https://www.quora.com/profile/Desmond-Last

dyson

I had to laugh to myself the other day (to myself as nobody in the U.K speaks to me) because I had just been watching a TV ad for one of Dyson’s Super Turbo Vacuum cleaners. I was marvelling at the level of detail and the operating parameters which take into account all aspects of the environment the cleaner operates in. I said to myself ‘ he should design a car’. Then the next day I read about his plans to develop an electric car.

However, he will face many obstacles. First he is in the U.K. As a brand new vehicle manufacturer he will have to ensure compliance to all markets including the E.U. Being outside of the E.U he will find homologation and type approval a lengthy process. I was a Legislation Engineer for Renault Vehicle Industrials at Dunstable. I know the problems he is going to face.

He is also going to have to ask the U.K Department of Transport what their legislation requirements are going to be. We do not know of them yet. Although we will duplicate E.U Vehicle regulations he will not know if that will continue and how the U.K Government intend to enforce Type Approval and Homologation for the U.K.

He does not know how the E.U is going to enforce border controls on his exported vehicles. He does not know how the United Kingdom is going to impose import checks on his imported parts and what the duties will be.

He will also have to ask the Department of Trade and Industry what the U.K requirements for Product Liability are going to be. We do not know what they are going to be.

He does not know what the future E.U regulation will be on electric vehicles as it is highly likely he will not have full membership of the E.U Technical Committees who help draft new vehicle legislation.

He does not know what the APR will be for commercial enterprise’s in 5 years time as Moody’s have again increased the cost of U.K Government borrowing which will effect commercial loans.

He does not know if the whole of the Eastern coast line of the U.K will be able to power electric vehicles when there is flood due to rising sea levels and power cuts because of climate change. As the U.K Government, Opposition and Governments everywhere have no plans for dealing with major flooding as sea levels rise then it may be that electric vehicles may not be totally feasible in the future.

It is not easy and the U.K Government and Labour Opposition do not make it easy.

What he does know is that he will probably manufacture inside the E.U in partnership with an E.U country and company because right now that is what the E.U is doing – taking U.K jobs and Industries.

Is it realistic? Yes. Is it realistic in the U.K? No.

Is Nigel Farage considered as an idol in England?

brexit

My Answers to World Affairs on Quora  This an answer to a Quora Question.

Farage like the majority of Politicians and in particular U.K politicians is another failed representative of the people who does not listen to anything other than the sound of his own voice.

What is it about economic planning and industrial strategy that all sides of Politics in the U.K do not understand?

Don’t tell me they do. The U.K Economy is an absolute disaster. We can’t even afford our health care let alone social justice. We may be the 5th largest economy in the World but we do not make a profit. Government borrowing is increasing and so too its cost. Our Moody’s rating has just been downgraded – again.

Brexit has made the U.K a joke – one which will ensure that the young people of the United Kingdom are not going to have the same opportunities as their European counterparts.

Farage like Johnson made political ambition more important than the futures of the people of the U.K . The failure of the U.K Government and Establishment to become fully involved in the European Union is what caused the E.U Super-State to emerge.

They and the cobwebs in the Foreign Office should have become fully immersed in the E.U and hence would have led its reform. Instead the U.K have continued looking for ‘tea trade in the Commonwealth’ to exploit whilst walking hand in hand with America into any war they could preach to the world about. They should have been evolving the E.U – which would mean we would not have needed Brexit.

Our Foreign Office still thinks it runs the World. They need a damn good shake-up and need to get out into the real World.

Farage got what he wanted and walked away. Cameron didn’t and cried then walked away. May jumped Euroship to become Prime Minister. Johnson has used Brexit not for the people of the U.K but himself.

Where is the plan Farage and Johnson? Where is the association with non-E.U nationals and Organisations. Where is any form of future strategy for the U.K? There is none and cannot be until we begin to sign Trade Deals and the details of the U.K exit from Brexit are finalised. But Farage never explained to the people of the U.K that the referendum was only one small part of leaving the E.U. nor did Johnson.

Farage and Cameron played selfish politics with the UK and the people lost. We still have no plan.

If the E.U is so bad why is Farage an MEP?

Farage and Johnson, Cameron and May as well as Corbyn are like ships without rudders and sails. They have absolutely no idea of where they are going and no idea of how they are going to get there.

When will the people of the U.K wake-up? It is not the E.U they should have left it is a Political System that does not answer to their needs. I voted for Brexit but I had a Strategy. I wanted to use Brexit to reform the E.U or form a new Union.

Brexit was an Ace in any reform negotiations and we threw it away.

There is little in the way of People Democracy in the U.K only a Political Power Elite who still do not listen and without doubt do not understand Economics.

The U.K is leaving a Trading Group which will only get bigger and stronger. Where is the U.K going? Mexico? Australia? Vietnam? China?

The U.K could have reformed the E.U and become a major part of the future of the World. But now no longer will we be able to ensure our interests are shared with the World. As May illustrated in Florence this week we now excel in bending over to whoever holds the purse strings.

Farage should have created an economic plan for the future. He did not. I doubt if he will be considered an idol by the many who in years to come will only see Brexit as a lost opportunity to reform the E.U and partake in its leadership.

Post Florence, is Brexit in practice not likely to happen at all, be stalled indefinitely with a later extended transitory period to 2023, and the UK ultimately remains in the EU in all but name with a type of associate membership for the long term?

From Quora https://www.quora.com/profile/Desmond-Last

The E.U has 27 Member States and would like to remain with 27 Member States.

If the U.K wants all the advantages of fully-paid and involved E.U membership the U.K will have to remain in the E.U.

The E.U is not going to risk the chance of more ‘Brexit(s)’ so that the E.U can trade with the 27 Member States without being a fully paid up member.

I am not sure which ‘Alice in Wonderland’ the UKGOV and Theresa May live in as it varies from day to day.

But yesterday was about May saying the last 12 months of post referendum have been a complete waste of time and I am now going to do my job.

May should have been honest 12 months ago and admitted that the Brexit timetable is impossible to meet.

Theresa May acts as if Brexit was requested by the E.U. The imaginative response May repeatedly seeks will have to come from the U.K. not the E.U.

It would be obvious to many in the U.K that life post-Brexit is going to be very difficult. All the transition period is going to do is pay $20 billion to the E.U so that companies in the U.K will have time to pack their bags and leave. May is too weak to insist that the U.K receives it full financial commitments from the E.U. Yesterday we witnessed the end of our ability to lead the negotiations – yesterday May bent over in front of the World to the E.U.

We will get what the E.U wants to give us and it will be no better or no worse than Norway or Canada.

I suggest we stay in and reform the E.U – which is how all this started.
