Child abuse in all its many forms is a human rights abuse that is ‘out of control’.
We are judged not by what we achieve for ourselves but for what we achieve for those who are unable to care for themselves.
Child abuse by the individual and child abuse by Government are the same – they are both pre-mediated planned and executed forms of human rights abuse to the vulnerable.
It is no good calling child abuse by Government ‘collateral damage’ so as to excuse children screaming in pain as they bleed to death. Nor is it good enough to rant and rave about terrorism on Facebook and then allow an underworld on Facebook of children being openly displayed as available.
It is no good Government bringing out laws to stop any child pornography and then let Google search results display children exploitation sites.
It is no good bringing in money laundering laws and then let Visa and Mastercard be used to pay for access to child pornography sites.
It is no good the Prime Minister of Australia Scott Morrison saying children should not be abused and then say he does not know when Aboriginal children will have equal rights.
It is no good Prime Minister Theresa May saying that all children should be protected by the law and then allow illegal research groups access to children.
When we ensure that children do not starve to death, are not bombed to death, are not abused to death and are not diseased to death then and only then are we humanity within mankind – a civilization. Until then we are the damned.
