Many have fought and died for the World we enjoy today we should not so easily give it away.

This is a trend by default but it is becoming more common and it is incrementally spreading throughout the World. It is the Virus Apathy.

It is not a personal fault. We all wake-up everyday to go to work – or at least the majority of us do. There in an ever competitive World we go about our work as obedient robot drones. We do not know who we work for as we are only a digit on a Multinational Bank Transfer. We are taught to sing the Company song and made to feel grateful for the fact they have given us work.

If we dare to use our brains we are shot down and made to feel an inch tall. So as good little robots we work as hard as possible in case they replace us with free trade immigrants who will work even harder for less.

When we get home we are too worn out to man the barricades and begin the revolution so we switch off to whatever drama of the day our Government is supposedly dealing with and tell ourselves it will all be better one day.

However, in the meantime we have lost our jobs, taken a pay cut and payed even more for our mortgage or rent.

We pretend Climate Change is not going to burn out homes down even though we know it probably will and we ignore the approaching Tsunami. Instead we attend the local Armageddon Party where drug dealers are the new black and the Police Station is now a Mcdonalds. This is the Trend of ‘If I ignore it it will go away and not keep me up at night’.

Unfortunately whilst we have been busty staying alive and out of Prison our Governments have stuffed up our World and will continue to do so.

So I would like Apathy to disappear forever and be replaced by ‘Government who do and not just say will do’. Many have fought and died for the World we enjoy today we should not so easily give it away.
