My answer to Why did you or what made you leave Australia?
Answer by Desmond Last:
The Australian Bank the ANZ caused me to leave Australia. They evicted me from my home at 23 Boundary Street Darlington Sydney and my investment property in Suffolk Park without any warning and legal notice.
I had no idea I was going to be evicted.
I was not allowed to take any of my belongings including 5 years of writing. All my belongings were put in storage where they remain.
I was in default. But only by $5000 on one home and $9000 on the other- my car was worth $20,000.
I can prove I was evicted without notice which is illegal. In fact if it is deliberate is it a criminal action.
The ANZ have been are rude abrupt and dismissive and continue to lie.
I came back to the U.K because I had some shares here I could sell and then my mum became ill so I am now looking after my mum who is 88.
The ANZ said they could not find me (I was here with my mum in the U.K) so they obtained a court order for the NSW Government Trustee to take charge of my other home which is now rented out. For which they charge me $17,000 a year. They will not return my home to me until I go to the Supreme Court in Sydney to prove who I am – which is total Alice in Wonderland.
I will never forgive the ANZ for what they did to me. When my circumstances change and I have money again, which I will, I am going to campaign against the ANZ for the rest of my life. I want every person in the World to know what the ANZ have done to me.
I wrote to Malcolm Turnbull the Australian Prime Minister and he said ‘there is nothing he could do’.
When I return to Australia I shall ask the Police to investigate the ‘lie’.
