Could tactical nuclear strikes be used effectively against ISIS?

My answer to Could tactical nuclear strikes be used effectively against ISIS?

Answer by Desmond Last:

Where do you stop?

How much radiation are you going to leave for 20 plus years in the ground and water?

What happens to the air-borne radiation?

What happens when ISIS capture the nuclear weapons?

What happens when they say ‘If you can use them so can we’?

What happens when they use them in New York’?

You can kill all of ISIS bar one. That one will start all over again.

Better to not let the nuclear genie out of the bottle as it will turn into a devouring monster.

The only way to defeat terrorism is to end the reasons for its existence and that includes stopping the killing civilians by war or by economic starvation.

There are only two feasible options to end the conflict's which involve terrorism;

You bring together all the parties involved for a Unified Peace and involve yourself in understanding their belief in God.

You use a legal unified military force with overwhelming odds of 3:1 who do not support any side expect Peace, who have to disarm all militia and have an exit strategy.

General Montgomery once said ‘You do not go in unless you know how to get out’.
