My answer to Why is ISIS destroying temples?

Answer by Desmond Last:

I know its madness. In the middle of fighting for a new way of life they destroy that which we can all learn from. It would make for very boring history lessons for ISIS schoolchildren.

There they are waging a war against the whole World and then they upset even more people by destroying ancient monuments.

They are in the ISIS ‘Time Machine’. This takes them back in time to when the Prophet Muhammad was waging a war against the Pagans who did not believe in God.

ISIS are caught in the same time warp as is the West who seeks to destroy them.

Both believe that they can force their way of life onto people.

They seem to forget that the Prophet Muhammad compiled the writings that formed the Quran so Peace could be used to end war and the Pagan way of life.

ISIS want a way of life that does not yet exist. But it is the wish of God.

They want a life where people are good, do not take drugs, do not rape women, do not abuse children and do not commit any crime. Even though they have been involved in all of these crimes.

Which is exactly what the West wants. Yet they too have been involved in the same crimes.

Both ISIS and the West kill civilians. Both ISIS and the West will support criminal groups to fight for them.

Both ISIS and the West will bomb indiscriminately.

Both ISIS and the West are fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan.

All madness.

The only way we will get Peace is by using Peace. That means we have to start talking to each other.
