My answer to What is the common denominator for a peaceful life?

Answer by Desmond Last:

As somebody who has little patience with those who do not seem to understand that we do not bomb children in Yemen I have to say that I do not know.

How can I have a peaceful life when my mind is full of ideas of how to stop children being bombed in Yemen?

So I guess the answer has to be the common denominator for a peaceful life must be the callousness such as is exhibited by Theresa May and Donald Trump.

They are able to sleep at night despite supporting Saudi Arabia who bomb and starve children.

Whereas I lay awake wondering why it is my new ideas for Peace in the World are not considered by Theresa May or Donald Trump.

How can those of us who perceive humanity to be the protection of those who are not able to protect themselves be content unless we demonstrate a complete disregard for the lives of innocent children.

Principle is not a luxury we can afford to disregard. It is a rock to which we anchor our very souls in order for mankind to progress its endurance of battle against Evil.

A Peaceful life therefore would appear to be only for those who leave Principle for selfish advantage.
