My answer to Is a sweeping Tory victory on June 8th virtually inevitable?
Answer by Desmond Last:
No I do not believe it is. Theresa May has displayed a contempt for the people of the United kingdom that is unparalleled in modern U.K political history.
So convinced is May that the people of the U.K can be ‘told’ to vote for her she has given the people no time to listen to all the electoral debates and manifestos.
Yesterday in Parliament was U.K democracy at its worst. The ‘sheep’ in the Commons voted for an early election without a moments thought for the people they represent.
Most people work, look after family, support communities etc. Our lives do not as Parliament seem to think revolve around them.
May is in my opinion a Prime Minster never to be trusted. May is not a leader she is a ‘plotter’. Surely by now the people of the United Kingdom have had enough of spin, more spin, and even more spin.
May must think we are all devoid of intelligence. The U.K economy is a train wreck it borrows money at the rate of £5200 a second. 6 years of Conservative Government have only further ruined the U.K economy.
We have no status in the World thanks to the Conservatives who thought the Brexit referendum would be a ‘walk in the Park’ and May was on that Cabinet.
May is not a leader. May takes the people of the U.K for fools. May has not one new idea. May shames the U.K by supplying arms to kill children in Yemen.
May has underestimated Jeremy Corbyn. He is a leader and one who will bring pride and respect back to the U.K.
We have all had enough of the Conservatives and their plots and schemes.
It is time for some straight -talking Government and Corbyn is straight-talking.
A win for May is not inevitable. We are the ‘People of the United Kingdom’ not the obedient serfs of Theresa May.
