I should be writing this but the United Kingdom has made it so. I am English, born in London. I loved my country and its people. ‘Loved’ is the World.
Now all I want to do is leave and return to Australia where I have lived for 25 years. I live in the U.K because my mum who is 88 this year requires 24/7 care.
The United Kingdom is no longer a Nation. The U.K is a country which has little in the way of common purpose to unite its people. Its Governments and Opposition are superficial. They talk of unity but their policies spread disunity.
The U.K can no longer afford its lifestyle. Now it is like a rudderless boat adrift on a sea with no lifeboat of economic cooperation to get it through increasing competition from developing countries.
Its young people do not have the spirit of purpose to stand firm against a Government and Opposition who have removed their futures with Brexit and little in the way of positive Climate Change Policies.
I have been to the U.S 4 x. I was always impressed by their unity, their common goal, their humour and their genuine desire to want to make the World one in which Peace and achievement were part of a common purpose.
Can President Trump deliver use that purpose to unite a divided country only time will tell.
I wish I could take the collective U.K citizen and shake them out of their apathy, their acceptance of the mediocre and theri trust in the Establishment both Government and Royal. But I am unable to do so.
The U.K Puppet Media are the serfs of the Establishment and do not report the true state of affairs to the the Citizens of the U.K.
In the U.S democracy is robust and fights back but here in the U.K it is screwed.
