Australians know the who and what of every culture and race. Australia is a Nation of ‘Peoples of the World’. Everybody is welcome to be part of a culture which accepts all except of course for d..kheads.
I am English and was treated no different to any other culture. Unlike the U.K, culture assimilation has not been force-fed to the people in the space of 25 years with the consequent culture clash it has caused.
I can walk down my favorite streets in Sydney which is King Street and eat at the tables of almost every national cuisines in the World -including Latino.
The only culture still without representation by right of birth is the Aboriginal culture. You only have to look at the make-up of Federal Parliament to realise that it is the Goverment Establishment who have treated the Aboriginal People as second-class citizens not the People of Australia,
Walking over a bridge and saying sorry does not make a Member of Parliament or more importantly provide them with their own State or Territory.
