Answer by Desmond Last:

You can begin by writing new ideas for a World where Peace not Conflict is the accepted form of behaviour.

You can then follow that by producing a reform of the United Nations which will work and bring Peace to the World.

You can then wonder if certain painful experiences are related to your vision for a New World. Not everybody wants ‘World Peace’ – a lot of money is made from war.

Once you come close to death or are constantly threatened by it then you know it is a ‘state’ that could occur at anytime.

You are no longer frightened by it and are able to use that ‘state of mind’ as a fortification against those who are. It also allows you to consider risking your life for a cause or belief you feel is worthwhile.

I am sure any Military Professional who has been close to or threatened by death would feel the same.

This then makes you thankful you have been a ‘good’ person all your life as otherwise an eternity of Hell would be only an inferno away from you.

To take the ‘existence of death’ from one of a concept to that of a reality you would have to experience its close proximity.

What should you think about or do that will make inevitable death a realization for you rather than an intellectual concept?
