My answer to Could I set up a food truck on my own property?
Answer by Desmond Last:
You can but as soon as you serve a paying customer you will be required to meet all the same laws as a five-star restaurant and any laws that are specific to Food Trucks.
Any area you use to prepare and store food will need to meet local Government regulations. You will also have to apply to your local Government for permission to operate a business from a residence.
You will need Public Liability Insurance to protect your customers. You will also need insurance for any employees.
As the Truck is a commercial operation even though it is on Private Land it will still have to be roadworthy and safe including a Gas Compliance Certificate.
You will need to comply with any EPA and local requirement for grease traps and waste removal.
Before you go commercial make sure you can afford to pay the cost of compliance.
