I had to attend a Security Course at Sydney Technical College in Broadway.
The course was attended by people. That is it people. Regardless of culture and race we were all treated equally. The only disadvantage you may encounter is if your English is not very proficient.
I have never seen any overt racism in Australia. I have lived there for 25 years and am soon to return.
Do not take the actions of the Australian Goverment as a barometer of Austrlain attitudes.
Australia is a very multi-cultural Nation. The Aborigines are disadvantaged because they will not stand up to the Anglo-Saxon Government to obtain Statehood.
Until they do they will always be seen by some as second-class citizens as are the Indians of the U.S
Both the U.S and Australian indigenous populations should have a State of their own to manage and govern. Doing so would retain cultural identity, ownership of destiny and individual and collective pride.
