My answer to What were you doing before writing this answer?
Answer by Desmond Last:
I was wondering how the National Health Service in the United Kingdom is going to be able to cope with the increase in patients with dementia.
Of course I could ask Donald Trump who is about to cancel the Clean Air Act but as Donald Trump has never visited a hospital with an overload of dementia patients there is not much point. I drove to the Banbury Horton Hospital with my brother to visit my 87 year old mum who is not well.
We drove through a toxic fog that Donald Trump is about to make worse and has no solutions for.
But as Donald Trump and his family will have Private Health Care and be able to filter their air it will not matter to them.
Dementia patients are a huge workload to already overworked doctors and nurses. But that is ok because Theresa May is ensusing that they do not have to worry about nuclear attack by spending more on nuclear weapons than the increase in the NHS budget.
May conveniently never revealed to Parliament that we can with an engineering solution continue to use our existing deterrent for another 30 years – mind you neither did Corbyn.
Just in case the doctors and nurses of the NHS were worried about Russia invading the U.K Theresa May has spent money that could be used by the NHS on defending the Polish borders from a Russian invasion.
So that is what I was thinking about. What is the U.K going to do to cope with the increase in patients with dementia that is part of an increase in illnesses caused by environmental pollution?
I also wondered how the U.K is going to do a trade deal with the U.S that is going to have environmental controls less costly and effective than those of the U.K?
