My answer to I voted for Trump. Am I a bigot? I thought that Hillary was too corrupt to be president.
Answer by Desmond Last:
The last time I looked Donald Trump has not been made a Saint by the Pope.
We all have our own preferences and opinions and there is nothing wrong with expressing them as long as we do not insult or intimidate people.
One thing we all need to do is to learn to express ourselves without being lynched by those who take exception to somebody having an opinion.
Trump has reminded all of us that each one of us has the right of being a citizen. With that right comes an opinion as to how we want our society to be. How can we address differences if we cannot listen to others opinions?
What this world needs right now is some straight talking. No more spin and gloss from Governments who cater to the loudest paid for voice.
If Putin does not want the West to point missiles at him then he should be able to say it loud and clear without NATO wanting to nuke him.
If Trump wants China to stop polluting the World whilst expecting America to shut down its coal industry he too should be able to say it.
Trump is no more a bigot thant you and I. It is a fact that Islam produces radicalism. But it is also a fact that the West support regimes who abuse the rights of their citizens – and the West is predominantly Christian.
Trump was pilloried for making sexist comments. So women never admire men's bits and pieces?
I am not anti-gay but I do not want their way of life rammed down my throat just as they do not want a hetrosexual lifestyle.
Let 2017 be the year of the Voice. Everyone one of us.
I voted for Trump. Am I a bigot? I thought that Hillary was too corrupt to be president.
