I have been to the U.S.A four times. But I have to say that I never met any ignorant people. All the Americans I met were polite and wanted to engage in conversation.
Whereas here in the U.K I am obviously invisible and have a beacon on my head which has a ‘be rude to Desmond Last’ magnet attached to it.
I am sure I am being used by the U.K Tourism Industry to drive away visitors to the U.K so U.K citizens can get a seat on the London Underground.
However I did meet on rude person in San Diego. A cop who must be a descendent of Adolph Hitler. He wanted to arrest me for complaining about doors being closed loudly in my hotel room. Eventually he gave up as I was ice cool and it all became to hard for him. I am sure God is waiting for him with his VIP pass to Hell.
I found Americans to be polite, well-mannered and interesting to talk to. Please ask Donald Trump to send me and my 87 yr old mum who I care for our plane tickets.
