In 2016 the whole World took a step towards the process of removing itself from the human action. From the time we are born to the moment we die the human emotion is taught to one of acceptance and control. Acceptance of all and control of that which is not acceptable behaviour.
Yet in 2o16 those who seek to exert their will on each of us through the law and peer control allowed children to die in the Mediterranean and Aleppo. So too in Yemen, Afghanistan, Libya, Iraq and in improvised areas of the World.
We all watched the total unexplainable insanity of Aleppo develop daily. We all wondered why it was that our Governments who participated in the conflict, who financed it, who supported it and who fought in it did not display the same adherence to laws both moral and through our legal executives that they expect of us.
Should I pick up a gun in London and kill a child I will be arrested for murder. But in Aleppo the laws are suspended in a disgusting display of Governments too precious of their own political position to do anything other than make pointless and hypocritical speeches. Theresa May the U.K Prime Minster made yet another pointless speech about human rights in Aleppo this week as her Government funded the murderous rebels and supplied missiles to kill children in Yemen.
Now we are all in the Assad Time-Machine. Back to the point when it all began 5 years ago. How long before it begins again?
What did we all do? Nothing. We suspended our own morality and the foundation of mankind, our humanity, and did nothing.
In 2016 we all became less human.
