I have learned that despite the apathy that exists in the United Kingdom towards improving the World and our Planet there are people of all ages sex and cultures who have ideas and emotions with which they want to use to make our lives better.
I am not surprised by the lack of involvement of the people of the U.K. on Quora. The development of democracy in the U.K is frozen in time. Until the House of Lords is abolished there is no popular representation in the U.K of their communities. They are left to make polite and well-behaved protests on the problems that matter to them. These protests are totally ignored by the U.K Government and Opposition.
I was in the John Radcliffe with my 87 year old mum this week. She is currently in the Bicester Community Hospital – who are above excellent in their level of service. I was watching a nurse deal with an elderly patient who was in difficulties. The patient was very difficult to deal with. The nurse thanked me for warning of another patient who was falling to the floor. I said no. It is you I thank for wanting to do the job.
Until there is a nurse a Police Constable and a non-ranking soldier in the second house of Parliament the people of the U.K as communities have no voice. The House of Lords is a testament to the failure of the people of the U.K to stand up and be counted.
It is noticeable on Quora that so many people young people from all over the World want to develop their new ideas for a World that is one of Peace and is equitable for all of us. In particular the young people of the Far East noticeably India and Pakistan are bursting with energy and optimism for the future of our Planet. The United Nations must be reformed to provide a platform for them to achieve the changes they want. My own proposals for UN reform have been totally ignored by both Government and World Media.
My 800,000 plus views on Quora and an abundance of up-votes are an underlining of how my work has been suppressed by both Government and media for the nine years I have been writing. That is something that Quora has illustrated to me and to many others. Both media and Goverment will soon have the opportunity to justify their illegal actions in court.
The people of America show a vigor for democracy on Quora that makes a mockery of Hilary Clinton's classification of ‘Deplorable s’ and take an active part in all discussions.
I have also discovered on Quora that Americans want to make gun laws safer. My proposals have been vigorously tested and debated by Americans and I now know that given the correct rationale there is a lot of support for making gun use safer.
The Military and Police on Quora are always active participants and are always willing to put forward reasoned and logical answers. That is why we must adopt a more inclusive system of democracy. Their opinions are much valued. The U.K Police are noticeable by their absence on Quora.
Climate Change very much matters to everybody and that too is very apparent on Quora. Our Planet is in trouble. We need young people to deal with the problems caused by Climate Change and a Climate Change agreement that is not mandatory. Young people are the ones who will suffer the consequence of a Climate Change.
Aleppo has had as much ‘airing’on Quora as I have been able to provide and so too by so many others from all over the Quora World. Aleppo is an important subject to young people on Quora as they see children brutalized our Governments who have walked away from the conflict.
I personally will never forgive Obama, Cameron, Trudeau, Putin, Merkel, May, Hollande, Turnbull and Junkers for letting the children of Aleppo die. Their attitude to Aleppo has not been a shining example to young people all over the World. I believe they have a case in Law to answer to for their abandonment of the people of Aleppo.
The young people of ‘Quora India and Pakistan’ have so much to offer to their countries and to the World. It is that unity of purpose which can resolve the conflict between the two countries.
The young people of ‘Quora America’ too are vocal and vibrant. With none of the antagonism that some of their elders have for different cultures.
I look forward to the day I can meet with young people who want to give me ideas and I to share mine with them. I wish I could say the same for the young people of the U.K but I am not able to do so.
Australia is very noticeable by its absence on Quora. Which is a shame because the ‘tyranny of distance’ as once described by Paul Keating has lead to mediocre Politicians who have no new ideas for Australia.
Quora has a place in our World and must be encouraged to widen its appeal. Once the events of my life change I will support Quora to reach a wider audience as I will Facebook. Both have a medium that can change and improve lives.
As the Internet develops it is the likes of Facebook and Quora who are able to bring democracy to our doorstep. We can no loner rely on our Governments to progress the human endeavor through collective thought and ideals.
