My answer to When was the last time you complimented a stranger?

Answer by Desmond Last:

A couple of months ago in Tesco’s at Bicester (Land of the living dead) I noticed a very smartly and classy dressed woman shopping. The reason she stood out is because fashion styles in the U.K are the closest there is to a dead mouse – ie inert dead and extinct. I walked up to the lady and politely complimented her on the style of dress.

She was both surprised and pleased. It does say something about U.K Fashion that it is not very often the opportunity occurs to complement a women on her style and dress.

I guess Theresa May set the tone on the day she first appeared outside 10 Downing as Prime Minister wearing a coat with two big yellow squares. May looked as if she was a Royal Navy signalling tower.

As somebody who has designed clothes I find it hard to walk down the local street without wanting to burst into laughter at some of the styles I see. The most ridiculous being the torn jean style.

Where is U.K Fashion?
