Can a libertarian find a place in the UK Conservative party?

My answer to Can a libertarian find a place in the UK Conservative party?

Answer by Desmond Last:

The U.K Conservative Party is a closed shop. A libertarian has no method of being able to use the Conservative Party as a platform for reform. Theresa May who in another century would be to the far-right of Genghis Khan does not understand or even want to understand the people. May makes all the right noises about wanting to equalize U.K Society but in reality May’s Cabinet is very Anglo-Saxon and still dominated by class defined males.

Last night Theresa May made one of her first major Public speeches. Was it in a Town Hall to those in the North of England who saw Brexit as a North South divide salvation?

Perhaps it was to those who have had to bear the brunt of un-controlled immigration as they slept on the pavements of London?

Was it to the 1.5 million senior citizens over 80 who have been discarded by the NHS and left to die semi-comatose full of morphine? I have first-hand knowledge of this my mum is 87. Mum was left for 7 hours in the A&E Corridor of the John Radcliffe Hospital.

No. It was to an assembly of the ‘Super Elite’. Those who like their cousins in America never have to sleep on the street, never get evicted from their homes, never have to face years of declining wages.

May did step out of her security clothed reality bubble for a few seconds and said ‘some people have been negatively affected by Globalization’.

At this point I had to pinch myself to make sure I was still alive and not in some sort of Theresa May reality Hell. Some? 45,000,000 in the U.S and 17,000,000 in the U.K. Let alone 25 per cent youth unemployment in Spain and similar in Italy and Greece.

Lets be brutally honest. Globalization is about money – the Peoples. The value of the people was taken out of their communities and given to the rich. Simple as that. Our Governments bent over backward to help them and they still do.

How can a libertarian exist inside of the May and Conservative bubble? They play with our lives using us as pawns in their political power games and we are only taken notice of at election time.

In Parliament recently the Government rejected any reform of the House of Lords. Why would they not want to reform the very institution that holds back the progress of democracy in the U.K?

Over 800 un-elected upper class warriors – second in size to the Chinese National Congress. Has anybody ever spoken to a House of Lords member? How on earth do they know what the people want? How could a libertarian exist in such a class-infested Conservative Party who will not reform the House of Lords?

May is doomed as is the Conservative Party. Outside of their nice and cosy bubble is a revolution. It has had enough of spin and lies. It has had enough of two legal systems. Of false promises and an HS2 that will only make money for the rich. Leaving the U.K wondering what the real average speed of HS2 will be and what the effect of climate change will be on parallel tracks at 250 m.p.h. on a hot day.

May and the Conservative Party will not even acknowledge my theory of ‘New Economics’. I use the the Money Supply as a provider of directed technology growth and remove individual unemployment by restructuring the community to direct training for community industry. So what chance has any libertarian got when the Theresa May and the Conservative Party is so firmly ‘closed to new ideas’.

I believe May and many of the senior members of the Conservative Party are intellectually challenged by the demands of the People’s Revolution of Brexit and Trumpism.

Unless May and the Conservative Party let in new ideas and that means libertine ideas then she has no new answers. The U.K needs new ideas if it is to prosper in a World that is rejecting free trade.
