My answer to What do U.K. Labour Party voters think about the American working class?
Answer by Desmond Last:
In a normal world I would be a Labour Party voter. But as not one Labour Party Politician has ever responded to any of my communications regarding improving not only the U.K but the World I had to resign my membership. However at the next election I will take the lesser of two evils and vote Labour.
I have been to America 4 x. I met and talked to many Americans. Unlike the English they wanted to talk to me.
Americans are not part of a society that has a social system based on outdated democratic system that still has the Lords who have done nothing to earn the right to represent the people.
Americans are progressive not only in Politics but in their lives.
I got the impression that every American thought he or she could be President.
If I put the same ideas I have for improving people’s lives to the American people they would welcome them. Because they want to get on in life.
Whereas in the U.K the working people accept that they will always be the underclass. To be looked down upon by a ruling elite that is there to tell them what is good for them – and to accept it.
Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump typify the people of America.
Gutsy and not afraid to proclaim to American what it is they stand for. The right of every American to be who he or she wants to be. That is what I think of the American people.
