My answer to How is the freedom of speech in where you live and what are your opinions about it?

Answer by Desmond Last:

I live in the United Kingdom. I have views and ideas that would make a contribution to improving our lives. I also have an alternative to Brexit for both the U.K and Scotland.

Brexit The U.K & Scotland

If I sent an email to every newspaper and television station in the U.K not one would report my views or discuss them with me.

My sister did not believe me so she sent emails to the media on my behalf – she did not get a single reply or even one acknowledgment.

I have had nearly 600,000 answer views on Quora with 1.92k up-votes – which indicates that there is some who agree with my opinions and views.

In the nearly four years I have been in the U.K I have put forward new ideas that the U.K Government and Opposition do not have – ideas that are workable and would improve lives.

But the U.K Media including the BBC will not report me or any of my work.

Therefore in answer to the question I have to say that freedom of speech in the U.K is determined by whoever pays the bills.
