Food is easy. At least that is what everybody thinks. However if you are not careful it is a minefield. Once you go commercial the law and liability enter your life.

You cannot make any food for commercial profit unless you comply with all the relevant food preparation and ‘food for sale’ laws.

You will also need Public Liability Insurance in case a person is in anyway harmed by your product and service.

You may also have to pay for a Business Licence and Public Heath Inspections.

Food stored at the incorrect temperature and food that is subject to cross contamination, as well as incorrect handling, can result in food poisoning with severe consequences.

So whilst you make an excellent sandwich to sell that sandwich you will have to comply with your local and national laws.

$100 will not cover the start-up costs. What you could do is make them for a local outlet using their kitchen until you had enough money to go solo.
