My Laverda Jota 1000 cc Triple. The guy across the road once said it was like listening to an F1 car whilst he was eating his breakfast and I rode off to work.
Once I had a drag race in Sheep Street Bicester with a Suzuki GSX 1000. The Police were waiting for us at the top of the road.
The Police were different in those days. Pete the copper just told me to go home.
Another time coming home late from a party at Buckingham I rode through some sheep calmly walking across the road. I was doing about 70–80 mph. She was a bike to be ridden hard and fast.
I wish I could say something deep and meaningful.
But that beast of a motorbike would set my heart pounding and fill me with excitement.
