When the Sydney Casino first opened the dress code was jacket trouser and tie. That lasted about 5 minutes as attendance was very low and they had to adopt smart casual.

As an Indian you will be just as welcome as anybody else when you arrive. Race, Colour Sex are not stereotyped in Australia. Everybody is made welcome.

The only people who are not made welcome are those who have left their countries for a better life but arrive illegally. Yes I agree you cannot open the floodgates (which in a sense is what the U.K has done), but you should treat people with dignity and respect.

Australia is very multicultural and between the Australian male dress style and all the styles of clothes from other cultures you will not be out of place as long as you are clean and tidy.
