How can I stop being average?

My answer to How can I stop being average?

Answer by Desmond Last:

To stop being average you will first need a dream. You can dream about being a President or you can imagine what it would be like to save somebodies life, and make a difference in the world.

The alternative is to remain average (a zombie) and watch your life idle by and then die. As you die you will say ‘ What if?’.

To begin the transition from average (zombie ) to individual you will need an identity.

This can be as simple as a clothing style or haircut. To accompany your new identity you will need opinions. So you will have to find out what is going on in the world.

Armed with your dream and your new identity you are now ready to stand tall amongst the average.

We live in a two-dimensional world. It is ideal for those who want to zoom throughout the cyberworld creating a swathe with new ideas.

However hiding behind your Superman icon on the net is not being above average. You must be above average in cyber-reality and in the real world.

You must pronounce your beliefs and be prepared to defend then. You must let the world see who you are. Anonymity is not being above average.

Make sure you do not let the Establishment get away with its spin.

For instance Theresa May said in this week's media “She would die for freedom” You would say – ‘You do not have to Theresa May the children of Aleppo are doing it for you’.

This is being above average. You are not able to directly help the children in Aleppo but you are being above average by questioning your Government and creating awareness.

Finally you will need Principle and never let it be defeated.

This is what will make you stand tall and be proud of yourself. Stand up for the weak and oppressed never let the establishment silence you – then you are truly above average.
