She watched. She could do nothing else. The gun was pointed at her head. They did not stop. The line of dirty ugly mankind at its most selfish self seemed to go on forever. Time and time again they plunged into her mother.
She had stopped crying a long time ago. Now the little girl was in shock. Her mother dead. She lay there in the drying pool of blood. They lel the little girl go, but only after they had raped her.
She too lay bleeding, alone and slowly dying. In the bush silent but with an anger that would never be satisfied was the mother’s son. The sister’s brother. The faces of those who had so painfully destroyed his mother and sister were burned into his memory. He would never forget the one who was in charge. The one that they all had to respect.
Years later he became President. He still had those faces in his forever flaming eyes. One day he walked into the Office of his Chief of Police.
“Come with me” He said. The Chief of Police walked outside. The rifles were all aimed at him.
He was fatter, older. His face still the same greedy selfish face of man it has always been. He had watched. He was the one who raped the President’s sister first. He was the one who had been in charge.
They gave him life imprisonment. Death would be too much of a mercy.
Later he died of AIDS.
Evil never pays. That is why we have laws. Laws that do not allow the murder of Children. In Aleppo, Syria or anywhere.
