My answer to How is Boris Johnson doing as the Secretary for Foreign Affairs?
Answer by Desmond Last:
No longer do we have the outspoken Brexit version of Boris. We now have the muted Foreign Office version.
In my opinion he has opted for the typical Foreign Office ‘do not rock the boat’ speak.
The U.K Foreign Office, who still mistakenly believe that the world views the U.K as an important part of world’s events, have quickly put the muzzle on Johnson.
In answer to the illegal killing and gassing of civilians in Aleppo he handed out a statement which said nothing and meant nothing.
The U.K is a permanent member of the U.N Security Council.
What it should be doing with the rest of the Security Council is to take an armed convoy into Aleppo to remove all the civilians.
We can then leave the rebels and Assad’s forces to destroy each other.
Boris has still to explain to children in Yemen why it is U.K supplied missiles are being used to by Syria to kill them.
I do not think that the U.K’s position on Aleppo or Yemen is one we in the U.K can be proud of.
Boris has let down the children of Aleppo and Yemen as has the rest of the Security Council. So in my opinion he is not doing very well.
