My answer to What's the strangest incident that's happened to you on an airline flight?

Answer by Desmond Last:

As I was leaving the cabin loo I was jumped on by 3 men. Hardly able to breathe my hands were tied so tight with the that plastic tie wraps, that the Los Angeles Police had to use wire cutters to get them off.

I was on a Qantas flight from Sydney to Los Angeles.

I was writing a Peace Process for the war in Afghanistan.

I used the spare seat by the front of the cabin as it was easier to write there. Nobody was sitting in it and nobody objected. The cabin crew served me drinks.

After about an hour I was told I could not sit there. I said why should I have to move. No argument or raised voices. The steward said he would come back.

I decided to go back to my seat. I sat down then went to the loo.

Then the incident I opened this answer with happened.

It was very painful and they would not even let me go the loo.

Nobody said anything. Nobody apologised.

I entered America and went on my holiday. Strange is an understatement.
