The mobile phone. Yes I know we need it. Yes I know it allows us to communicate easily and yes I know it provides employment for lots of people.
But it is the most annoying invention of our time. It is also responsible for the Lost Generation.
These are the current youth who are immersed in its world. They will all suffer from neck pain and need glasses when they get older, as they spend all day looking at the screen and sending texts.
The phone has becomes an umbilical cord to the world that we cannot cut-off.
It has made our world a series of texts. Our emotions are twittered and we never meet our friends as they only exist on Facebook.
Nobody writes in detail as it will not fit into Twitter. Governments think all they have to do is send us a tweet or put a message on Facebook and they have done their bit for the day.
Mobile phones are a necessary evil but I wait for the day for somebody to invent conversation and writing.
