When I read the Quran I am not overcome by an overwhelming desire to kill people. Just as when I read the Bible I am not encouraged to let 10,000 children die of malnutrition and disease every day.
When I enter a mosque I am not given a manual on how to blow people up.
When I enter a church I am not given an order to allow corrupt Governments to take money intended for those that have none.
When I see a Muslim in the street I am not frightened of him and he is not frightened of me.
When meet an American I do blame him for allowing the children of Aleppo in Syria to die.
When I meet an Imam, we talk about how the word of God can be understood for all of us to bring Peace to the World.
When I watch the Americans and Russians bomb innocent civilians by mistake or with collateral damage I do not blame the Bible.
When I hear the Ayatollah Al Kameni making speeches that incite anger towards Israel. I am unable to find the phrase in the Quran that states ‘Israel will not be here in 25 years time’.
When I see Israel bomb Gaza. I do not blame God. I blame Israel for contravening the International Convention of Human Rights.
Islam is the word of God. The word of God states ‘Thou shalt not kill’’.
The only way to stop the spread of terrorism is with a New Legal Unified Military Strategy. A strict adherence to the International Convention of Human Rights, and a new Philosophy, for those who want to kill as terrorists, will read as an alternative to that of ISIS and Al Qaeda.
