Newtown in Sydney. It is lined with alternative fashion shops. New and used. Modern and retro including burlesque.

A walk of the whole length of King’s Road Newtown will take a good 2–4 hours.

You can get there by train from the City – takes about 15 minutes.

There is a shop at the intersection of King Street where it bisects to go to St Peter’s and Canterbury that will even make you a handbag to your design.
