What if mental illnesses didn’t exist?

My answer to What if mental illnesses didn't exist?

Answer by Desmond Last:

Mental Illness does not exist. Until we understand that it is not an illness ,we are never going to be able to provide a communication system that allows all our different realities to exist.

You cannot treat a reality disconnect with drugs, electric shock therapy (which should be illegal) and by a mind by mind comparison.

Little progress has been made with dealing with the problems caused by the inability to communicate with a mind that has a reality we do not understand.

My recent experiences with the National Heath Service in the U.K. has illustrated to me, that as far as Mental Health is concerned we have not even invented the wheel.

Twice in the U.K I have referred for a Mental Health assessment. Twice I was told my mental Health was fine.

Why was I referred? Because of my writing. The same writing that is on Quora and my websites.

When a person’s reality does not stay within boundaries that are accepted by others you do not drug them to suppress the reality. You do not speak to them in sterile officialdom, and you do not say they are suffering from an illness.

Until the Mental Health Practices begin to communicate not subjugate, then we will never be able to translate and match reality behavior.
