My answer to If Donald Trump gets elected, will investors start to move their money to safer places causing US econ…
Answer by Desmond Last:
The United States will become an Investment Hub when Donald Trump becomes President. Donald Trump’s Policies will free up stagnated U.S Investment Funds and act as a ‘Money Magnet’ to overseas investors.
All of his economic policies are intended to reverse the flow of capital out of the U.S. and retain it for investment in American companies whose tax base is in America.
He has proposed changes to Tax and Investment Laws that will increase disposal income and increase profit.
Trump has also proposed cutting corporation tax to encourage investment in the U.S.
He intends to seek trade parity with China by insisting that import restrictions on American goods are relaxed. He wants China to change the requirement that exporters to China do not give away their intellectual Property rights.
He intends to discuss with China the undervaluation of the yen which reduces the cost of their exports.
These are all major changes. China has not competed fairly. They have abused their market position to the detriment of the American worker.
Why? Because they have been allowed to. China is a business country. The best way to do business with China is by respect. They will respect Donald Trump because he is a business man.
Note: Donald Trump has never personally been made bankrupt. He used Chapter 11 bankruptcies for the Four projects he has been involved in order to refinance to provide capital. All four of the project bankruptcies occurred when America was in a major recession. Donald Trump kept all four projects going and the Jobs that went with them – many other large corporate companies did not survive.
Trade Agreements that apply the ‘Level Playing Fields Theory’ drive down wages and conditions, whilst at the same time increasing the concentration of capital by widening the poor vs rich divide.
That concentration of Capital allows those who control the Capital to have an influence on Government Policy that favors the Capital, not the country or the workers.
If Donald Trump becomes President it will free up Investment Capital that has been leaving America,
He also does not want to get involved in ‘Nation building’ – his words.
That means a change to Military Spending and possibly a redirect to Capital Investment that benefits U.S.A based Military rather than overseas Military intervention.
Note: It may also see an end to failed projects such as the U.S.A taxpayer funded LPG Station in Afghanistan. It should have cost $500,000 but instead cost $45 million. The Obama administration is unable to find out where the money has gone.
It may force a Peace in areas that America has a military involvement in. They will no longer be on America’s drip-feed. Peace makes more money than war.
Disposal income will be increased. Corporate Investment will be freed up and companies will fiscally rewarded for remaining in America.
I believe that his economic policies will see a rise in the share value of American technology and manufacturing companies.
