My answer to Why don't United States realize that they are the ultimate threat (nuclear warheads) to world's peace?

Nuclear Weapons have not stopped ISIS. They have not not stopped Al Queada, Al Shabaab or Boko Haram. They did not stop the North Vietnamese. They did not stop the Mudjhean and the Taliban in Afghanistan. They have not stopped Poverty, Homelessness, Unemployment, Crime or Terrorism.
Can we get rid of them? No. Why? Because America does not know where they all are.
Can we reduce their numbers? Yes. But we have not. Why? Because America needs them to keep the Peace unless the others reduce their numbers.
Putin does not trust Obama and Obama does not trust Putin. Neither of then of course trust the Chinese Premier who of course trusts nobody. Everybody mistrusts North Korea but the only person who will speak to them is Donald Trump.
Israel needs them in case Iran wants to invade the whole of Israel and kill every Israeli and the U.K needs them so we can be important for something.
India has Nuclear weapons because Pakistan has nuclear weapons and in the event of a nuclear war have short trajectories so their nuclear war would end very quickly.
They all have nuclear weapons in their nuclear bunkers so even after the end of the world they can end what is left.
So America is caught in a cycle of mistrust. Certainly it does not need so many. Neither does Russia or any of the others. Why the U.K needs 140 nuclear warheads I have no idea. It certainly does not use as a negotiating tool in any disarmament talks and with such small numbers would only have a negligible effect.
The only way forward is to develop a method and technology to find all the nuclear weapons and the means to manufacture them.
I cannot see America or any of the other countries with nuclear weapons getting rid of them until they can guarantee the safety and security of their respective countries without them.
