My answer to When Trump says "he wants to make America great again, what era is he referring to?
Answer by Desmond Last:
I doubt if he is referring to a specific time but more a ‘sense of being’.
I will use the U.K as a comparative example.
This description of the U.K is what Donald Trump does not want America to become.
The U.K is like an old record. It marches to past Glories, has a ruling elite and its people have no pride. It bends over for whoever has the cheque book and allows its country to be overrun with EU and Commonwealth Nationals, for whom it has no room for and no money for. It has given the leadership of its future to a bunch of overpaid office boys in Brussels – who do not have a clue about economics. The people have no national unity and the Politicians are the median of the incomponent. The Press do not engage and only ask the questions they are told they can ask.
Donald Trump does not want the U.S.A to become a ‘Bend Over Britain’
Donald Trump wants America to own their country and future. He is not saying I am going to make you all millionaire.
But he is saying if you do become a millionaire it should be because of ‘Made in America’ not China.
We have all been conned into thinking that we must take the cheapest not matter where it comes from.
But that ‘cheap’ has cost jobs- American jobs, and an increasingly polluted Planet. We all breathe in 4000 chemicals – some from China and India. That is the cost of cheap.
Donald Trump is saying he wants America to be proud of their future not just their past.
