My answer to If Trump is elected into office, how would he handle China?
Answer by Desmond Last:
China is no different to the rest of us. It wants the best for its Nation and People.
China the Nation is there to progress the social and economic revolution that began with Mao and has not stopped. The individual supports the Nation by his or her being part of a revolutionary progressive social movement.
But it has seen its own progress with its economic growth one which can be pursued without being involved with others- it uses the cartel of the G20 to advance its own interests. That single-minded approach has lead to the environmental pollution it produces.
I make the distinction between the Nation and the People because it is one our Governments, and in particular the U.K’s France and to some extent Germany seem to have forgotten. You cannot have an efficient export economy without a thriving domestic one. You cannot support other countries with the poverty, misery, and submersion of your own people. Cameron Hollande and Merkel were not elected to do the best for the 300,000~ that came to the U.K or France or Syrian refugees last year. They were elected to do the best for the U.K or their own citizens first.
It is time to consider my development of the United Nations to progress World Peace. The EU and the current U.N do have any solutions to any of the World’s problems.
I have been and remain very critical of China because it has seen its own progress with its economic growth one which can be pursued without being involved with other’s- it uses the cartel of the G20 to advance its own interests.
Perhaps if China were in the G7 and G10 the direction of its ‘dumping’ policies may have been different.
China has economic independence and that gives it too an independent military strategy. When Cameron is at his G group meetings, he has the EU looking over his shoulder and Obama is wondering how is going to pay for the Middle East. So he too has said yes to China’ or turned a blind eye to resources labour exploitation in Africa. Only recently have they given China a slap on the hand re China’a South China Sea’s dispute. Which will probably be flooded by rising sea-levels.
Now we may have an American President who is saying it is the People of America who come first not Afghanistan, Syria Libya or Africa.
How will Donald Trump deal with China? To answer that we can look at what he said when he was in Australia – he said they sold themselves cheap to China.
Trump is going to look at China and say “Well how many of your troops have died to fight terrorism?”
We can expect Trump to be the businessman that Hillary Clinton is not. He will say I got 300 million buying China and I can switch that off any day. He could finance that statement by a user pay principle for the American Military and he may even bring in more tariffs on Chinese exports.
I think the era of appeasement policies will be over with Trump and it will quid pro quo.
We need China and China needs us. Trump will give that need a non-negotiable value.
