Your question represents the insanity of our current Governments and Climate Change. Obama does not want to wake-up one day and fall into a huge hole in the ground caused by climate dislocation. That is land masses that were stable at x degrees and y pressure are no longer contained in their climate parameter envelope. John Kerry does not want to wake-up to go for a bicycle ride and see the road is no longer there. The Chairman and Board of x multinational does not want his children to live in a dust-bowl. The most devotee climate change skeptic does not want to be on holiday on the beach to be engulfed by a wave 20 stories high. So why is it that those countries most responsible for changing the stable bio-system we live in, are those that take the smallest steps to reduce the accelerating rate of change of our climate? Money and Political expediency. But what they have failed to understand is that the majority of us want our Planet and Mankind to survive in a better environment and we know that accepting change is necessary. Not only that but we want to breathe in clean air, we want to see the fish swim not die, we want to see the mountains glisten with snow not melt, we want the Polar Bear to enjoy his environment not watch it disappear. We want the butterfly to live not die of toxic fumes and we want to be proud of our efforts to improve the gift that God gave us.
We can improve our climate. Yes some parts of industries will have to close down. But that does not mean job losses. It will mean retraining it will, mean learning new skills an it will meana calculation the cost-benefit in a way that demonstrate the long-term damage to our Planet of not doing so. It also means ensuring that the money that is made available is vetted, verified and not corrupted. I can state that Paris 21 money will not all go to where it is meant too. Paris 21 is a whitewash and we the People will suffer for its failure to deal with climate change within a timescale that will reverse the climate change before it is too late. I have a new system but Obama and Cameron and the United Nations have ensured with the Western Media I cannot put it to the People of the Word. Obama and the rest of them are too soft and unable to take the hard decisions that are needed to save our Planet, China is too greedy and India knows of no other alternative. http://www.desmondlast.com
